Job description

Bobcat of Huntsville is an authorized dealer of new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment including skid steers, track loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles and more. We provide service both in the field and in our facility.

Bobcat of Huntsville is seeking a Parts Manager! They will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and inventory control of the Parts Department. This position provides support to customers, service department, and branch location. If you want to join our team, apply today!

Monday - Friday Dayshift

Responsibilities

  • Serve customers and service department in a very professional manner, keeping their needs in mind and also the company’s best interests.
  • Maintains excellent customer relations.
  • Contact existing and potential customers for the purpose of marketing parts.
  • Purchase all parts not in stock and review/approve all stock orders and inventory invoices for payment.
  • Responsible for all shipping and receiving of parts. All orders should be binned promptly and accurately and be kept clean and orderly.
  • Complete weekly inventory counts and reconcile any differences. Control inactive and obsolete inventory through discounts and returns.
  • Optimize freight charges and emergency/rush order charges, while giving good customer support.
  • File parts claims with the manufacturer.
  • Attains short and long term objectives with good management/planning.
  • Supervise all direct reports and provide individuals the guidance required for them to reach both their corporate and personal goals.
  • Monitor performance standards and measurements.
  • Enforces all policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills
  • Good computer and system knowledge
  • Associates or Technical Degree and/or experience in a parts department required. Preferably in the construction equipment, automotive, or agricultural industry
  • Valid Driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days

Physical Requirements

  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 50-100 pounds; and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20-50 pounds; and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds
  • Occasional to frequent walking or standing
