Description

Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible General Pediatric Cardiologist to join our Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Candidates will also be considered for the Rhea and Raymond White Professorship in Pediatric Cardiology . Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

This position is ideal for a clinician-educator who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic division of twelve faculty members and three fellows, supported by dedicated pediatric cardiac intensive care and cardiac surgical teams.

Key responsibilities include:

· Providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology care

· Collaborating closely with pediatric cardiac surgeons, cardiac intensivists, neonatologists, and subspecialty teams to optimize patient outcomes

· Participating in non-invasive imaging, consultative services, and longitudinal care across a diverse patient population

· Contributing to the division’s clinical research, quality improvement, and program development initiatives

· Engaging in teaching and mentorship of fellows, residents, and medical students

About Golisano Children’s Hospital

Golisano Children’s Hospital is the dedicated children’s hospital within the University of Rochester Medical Center and operates under the license of Strong Memorial Hospital, a regional academic medical center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center.

The hospital is consistently ranked among the nation’s best children’s hospitals by U.S. News & World Report across multiple specialties, including neonatology, neurology, hematology/oncology, nephrology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and orthopedics.

The current eight-story, 148-bed facility provides comprehensive pediatric care across more than 40 specialty areas and serves over 85,000 children and families annually across Western and Central New York. Plans are underway for a significant expansion, including additional inpatient capacity and programmatic growth.

Division of Pediatric Cardiology

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology offers a full spectrum of pediatric cardiovascular services, supported by:

· A dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCICU)

· A comprehensive congenital heart program

· Advanced imaging and interventional capabilities

· A strong, collaborative relationship with cardiac surgery and critical care

The division is committed to excellence in clinical care, education, and research, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

Qualifications

· MD or DO (or equivalent)

· Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology

· Eligible for medical licensure in New York State
