Job description

The Assistant Golf Professional supports the daily golf operation while providing exceptional service to members and guests. This position assists with tournament operations, golf programming, staff leadership, merchandising, instruction, and golf shop operations while helping maintain the high standards of the Golf Professional Team.Essential FunctionsAssist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professionals with all aspects of the golf operation.Serve as an ambassador of the Club and actively promote the game of golf.Assist with Golf Tournament Operations with Golf Genius.Support the Junior Golf ProgramProvide golf instruction and playing opportunities with the membership.Manage and maintain the Club's POS and tee time systems, including Jonas and ForeTees.Provide club fitting and basic club repair services.Maintain an active classification with the PGA of America.Assist members and guests with the interpretation of the golf rules, regulations and policies.Perform any other tasks assigned by management.Knowledge, skills and abilitiesFundamental knowledge of all facets of the game of golf, including golf operations, golf rules and regulations, golf instruction, tournament management and customer service.Positive attitude with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.Self-motivated - able to work independently and as a team member to meet objectives.Uphold strong personal and professional values.Excellent communication and diplomatic skills - effective with members and employees.Maintain a high level of knowledge as it relates to product awareness.Ability to provide fundamental golf instruction based on consistent principles.
