Job description

Guaranteed minimum of $15.00/hour - potential to earn up to $40.00/hour with pooled tips

Compensation is calculated as $9.00/hour plus your share of pooled tips, or $15.00/hour minimum - whichever is higher. During busy shifts and events, pooled tips can significantly increase total hourly earnings.

About Golf VX

Golf VX brings together golf, technology, entertainment, and hospitality to create a different kind of indoor golf experience.

Our Arlington Heights location features 12 state-of-the-art Golf VX simulator bays alongside food and beverage service, leagues, events, lessons, and more.

We're looking for friendly, dependable Golf Bay Attendants who enjoy working with people and creating a great guest experience. This is a hands-on hospitality role where you'll take care of guests throughout their visit - from getting them checked in and set up in their simulator bay to serving food and drinks and making sure they have everything they need.

You don't need to be a golfer to work here. We'll teach you how to use the Golf VX technology and help guests get started.

What You'll Do

As a Golf Bay Attendant, you'll be one of the main points of contact for our guests throughout their experience at Golf VX.

  • Welcome and take care of guests - Greet guests, help with check-in, answer questions, and make sure they feel welcome throughout their visit

  • Get guests set up to play - Help players get started in their simulator bays, explain basic Golf VX features, and assist with common questions

  • Take food and beverage orders - Take orders accurately, make recommendations, and communicate with the kitchen and bar

  • Serve food and drinks - Deliver orders quickly and accurately and check back with guests throughout their visit

  • Take care of your bays - Keep an eye on assigned guests and bays, anticipate what they need, clear used items, and keep the experience moving smoothly

  • Support leagues and events - Help with parties, corporate events, leagues, tournaments, lessons, and other Golf VX programming

  • Process transactions - Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly

  • Keep the venue guest-ready - Clean and reset bays, restock supplies, maintain common areas, and help keep the venue organized

  • Support opening and closing - Complete assigned setup, cleaning, restocking, and closing responsibilities

  • Work as a team - Communicate with Captains, kitchen and bar staff, and other Bay Attendants to keep service running smoothly

  • Follow safety standards - Follow food safety procedures, responsible alcohol service requirements, and Golf VX policies

This is a team environment, so everyone is expected to jump in where needed. Some shifts may be focused heavily on serving guests, while others may include events, leagues, cleaning and resetting bays, restocking, or helping guests learn the simulator.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are friendly, reliable, comfortable talking with guests, and willing to stay active throughout their shift.

  • Customer service, restaurant, hospitality, retail, entertainment, or similar experience preferred

  • Friendly and outgoing personality

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods

  • Comfortable learning and using technology

  • Willingness to learn basic Golf VX simulator operation

  • Ability to provide attentive and professional guest service

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Must be 21+ and able to serve alcohol in accordance with Illinois requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and remain on your feet throughout a shift

Golf experience is not required. An interest in golf, sports, hospitality, or entertainment is a plus, but we'll teach you everything you need to know about Golf VX.

What We Offer

  • $15.00/hour guaranteed minimum, with earning potential up to $40.00/hour including pooled tips

  • $9.00/hour + pooled tips, or $15.00/hour minimum - whichever is higher

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Approximately 20-40 hours per week

  • Complimentary meals during shifts

  • Employee discounts

  • Training across guest service, food and beverage, and Golf VX simulator operations

  • Opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow into leadership roles

  • A fun, team-oriented environment built around golf, technology, hospitality, and entertainment

Schedule

Golf VX is open seven days a week, and Golf Bay Attendants may work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shift lengths and weekly hours may vary based on availability, venue needs, events, and seasonality.

If you're friendly, dependable, enjoy working with people, and want a job that's more interactive than a traditional restaurant or hospitality position, we'd love to hear from you.
