Job description

Trackman Diamond Sports (TMDS) is seeking Director, Amateur Business Development. This crucial position will report to the President, Diamond Sports, be a member of the TMDS leadership team and lead Strategy and Business Development for the Amateur customer segment. This new role will focus on creating and executing a winning strategy for TMDS in the youth baseball/softball markets and brings with it the unique opportunity to take an established, market leading brand to an exciting new customer segment.
This role will need to collaborate closely with various departments across Trackman, primarily Operations, Product and Sales. The ideal candidate will be a baseball/softball obsessive, have a talent for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, have both B2B and B2C experience, be an excellent communicator and have an established network in amateur baseball/softball.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Deeply understand youth customer segment needs to create overarching Amateur Diamond Sports strategy, drive support through organization and execute successfully
  • Navigate fast-moving youth baseball/softball landscape, identify good entry points for TMDS and drive commercialization efforts
  • Develop both B2B and B2C commercialization strategies to meet the needs of the different customers within this market
  • Understand Trackman product portfolio deeply to provide customers best solutions
  • Build strong networks across customer segments, including building relationships with tournament operators, facility management companies, key travel ball clubs, etc.
  • Negotiate various customer deals ranging in size and complexity
  • Create and review customer contracts in collaboration with TMDS leadership and Legal
  • Help identify and drive partnerships that further TMDS's position in customer segment
  • Collaborate with other TMDS departments to ensure success with this customer segment
  • Provide feedback to TMDS Product team to help develop winning development road map
  • Contribute to TMDS leadership team and department strategy
  • Develop processes that help improve efficiency and make decisions faster
  • Travel as needed to company events, customer and industry conferences

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 6+ years' work experience sought from related backgrounds, including sales, account management, business development, etc.
  • Strong baseball/softball knowledge passion
  • Existing network across youth baseball/softball
  • Good experience with B2C Sales and/or Marketing
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Personal drive, self-starter with demonstrated willingness to go the extra mile
