This position with Duininck Golf offers the opportunity to support golf course construction projects. This role involves physical labor as well as the safe operation of small equipment such as skid steers, walk-behind trenchers, compactors, tractors, and other hand-operated machinery.

Must be able to travel for extended periods of time across the United States. All team members must have reliable transportation to get to job sites.

The Role:

  • Perform general construction tasks such as shoveling, raking, trenching, and grading.
  • Operate small equipment (e.g., mini skid steers, walk-behind trenchers, compactors, tractors, sod cutters) safely and effectively; always maintaining awareness of surroundings, including fellow team members, elevation changes, and underground utilities.
  • Assist with installation of drainage, irrigation, bunkers, turf, and other golf course features.
  • Follow detailed layout instructions and grading specifications under supervision.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and supplies at the job site.
  • Maintain, clean, and perform basic checks on all equipment before and after use; reports any damage or needed service to Project Superintendent or Assistant Project Superintendent.
  • Support the overall progress of the project by working collaboratively with the team.
  • Observe all safety guidelines and wear always required PPE.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly be able to move around a construction site.
  • Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
  • At times effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time across the United States.
  • Typical work week is Monday - Saturday, estimated at 60 hours a week.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

What we Look For:

  • Individuals who work safely and have the courage to speak up if you see unsafe behavior or conditions.
  • Experience in construction, landscaping, or golf course work preferred.
  • Basic experience operating small construction or landscaping equipment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain (hot and cold temperatures, rain, mud, sun, underbrush).
  • Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous labor throughout the workday.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
