Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in preserving the overall functionality, safety, and appearance of Pine Royale Golf Resort. This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining resort facilities, golf course amenities, recreational areas, food and beverage venues, and back-of-house operations.
The ideal candidate is a skilled maintenance professional with experience in general building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment maintenance. This individual takes pride in creating a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment that enhances the guest experience while supporting daily resort operations. ,
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Building Maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Conduct regular inspections of resort facilities and identify maintenance needs before they impact operations.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests, departments, and management.
  • Support renovations, installations, and property improvement projects.
Resort & Grounds Maintenance
  • Maintain the appearance and functionality of outdoor resort spaces, including walkways, common areas, recreational facilities, event spaces, and golf-related amenities.
  • Perform pressure washing, minor landscaping, debris removal, and seasonal property preparations.
  • Assist with storm preparation, emergency response, and post-weather recovery efforts.
  • Ensure exterior areas remain safe, clean, and guest-ready at all times. ,
Equipment & Asset Management
  • Maintain and perform basic repairs on golf carts, maintenance equipment, small engines, and operational tools when applicable.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate repairs with vendors when specialized service is required.
  • Maintain maintenance inventories, tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly stored, secured, and maintained. ,
Preventative Maintenance
  • Execute preventive maintenance schedules for guest facilities, mechanical systems, and operational equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Identify potential issues early and recommend corrective actions to reduce downtime and repair costs.
  • Support ongoing asset preservation initiatives to extend equipment and facility life.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, local building codes, company standards, and safety procedures.
  • Identify and address potential hazards throughout the property.
  • Practice safe operation of tools, machinery, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and safety training programs. ,
Guest Service & Team Support
  • Interact professionally with guests, residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service while responding to maintenance concerns.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to support resort operations, special events, and peak occupancy periods.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a culture of teamwork and hospitality excellence.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in hospitality, commercial, residential, multifamily, resort, golf course, or related environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • HVAC systems
    • Plumbing systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Carpentry and general repairs
    • Preventive maintenance programs
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and facility-related issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. ,
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Maintenance certifications.
  • Experience working in resorts, golf courses, country clubs, hotels, or outdoor recreational facilities.
  • Knowledge of golf cart maintenance and small-engine repair.
  • Experience with building automation systems and work-order management software.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance scheduling and facility management practices. ,
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, elevated areas, and around maintenance equipment.
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, and emergency call-outs as required by business needs. ,
