Description
Do you love working outside? Do you love looking at the Texas Hill Country at its finest? Are you interested in learning about the science behind lush landscaping? This role will introduce you to the proper utilization of natural resources to achieve the lush grounds we enjoy here at Cordillera from a holistic perspective. If you are interested in ecology, crop and soil science, and the science of nature, this role will allow you to learn from experts that love to share their vast knowledge. Lessons you learn on the Ranch will stay with you forever. If you love Golf, this is a great way to understand how the course matters to the game.
This position includes tasks like raking bunkers, mowing greens, changing hole locations, hand watering, blowing debris, filling ball washers, filling water coolers, moving tee markers, etc. Groundskeepers must have a valid driver license and be able to drive various types of golf carts and utility vehicles in order to complete the above tasks. In addition, Groundskeepers are often called upon to complete or assist in all tasks on the course including: special projects, irrigation repair, fertilizer and chemical applications, and other general maintenance tasks. Groundskeepers primarily work under the supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents.
Requirements
1. Must have reliable transportation to be at work as scheduled and punctual.
2. Must be able to consistently lift at least 30 lbs.
3. Must be able to work weekends and holidays when necessary.
4. This is a full time position.
