Summary:
The Restaurant Server is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and
ensuring a positive dining experience. They act as the primary point of contact for guests throughout their meal, anticipating their
needs and exceeding their expectations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Guest Service:
• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Provide menus and answer any questions about the menu or specials.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, including any special requests or modifications.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
• Check in with guests regularly to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Sales and Upselling:
• Suggestively sell menu items, appetizers, desserts, and beverages.
• Promote specials and new menu items.
• Maximize sales opportunities by anticipating guest needs and offering additional items or enhancements.
• Table Maintenance:
• Clear tables throughout the meal, removing empty plates and glassware.
• Assist with resetting tables after guests leave, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including side stations and service areas.
• Payment Processing:
• Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, using the restaurant's point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods.
• Provide guests with receipts and ensure accuracy in all transactions.
• Teamwork and Communication:
