Job Summary:

All Golf employees are required to deliver the highest level of guest service to every guest at all times. The first impression is critical. It is your job to ensure each guest receives exceptional service and has an extraordinary experience, encouraging our golfers to return to stay and play with us.

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $24.69/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading golf services/operations team in providing high quality service to guests.
  • In addition to performing operational and service activities, provides day-to-day work direction to team members; enforces policies and procedures; provides training and guidance as needed, and resolves issues and problems.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Coordinate and execute tee time schedule in a friendly and efficient manner. 
  • Greet all guests โ€“ golfers and non-golfers. Secure golfersโ€™ bags on golf cars, communicate course rules and other important information. Ensure each guest golf car is clean, fully fueled and equipped, with our guestsโ€™ golf clubs secured on the back.
  • Maintain pace of play from the staging area to the first tee. Communicate any delays or problems to the golf shop and player assistants, to ensure happy golfers.
  • Receive golfers coming off the course with a friendly smile. Make eye contact and engage in conversation with guests, as appropriate. Clean all guest and rental golf clubs, remove golf bags from golf cars and place golf bags on racks for guests to pick-up.
  • Maintain clean golf car staging area, starter stand, practice facilities, bag storage room, and golf car washing/restocking area. Clean and fuel golf cars. Practice recycling and empty trash throughout the day as needed.
  • Arrive and depart work shifts at the assigned times. A flexible work schedule is required, including weekends and holidays. Golf Starters work outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions and are required to provide exceptional guest service, regardless of the weather.
  • Always dress in full uniform while working, pressed/ironed as necessary. Appropriate dress may vary depending on weather conditions. Adequate inclement weather gear will be provided as part of the uniform.
  • Starters must be able to lift heavy items, weighing up to 50 pounds, such as two fully equipped golf bags, large boxes or trash/recycling.
  • Use of a resort radio may be required, as a form of communication with other golf employees. It is expected that all radio communication will be professional and polite.
  • Supervisory experience preferred

The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $24.69/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
