JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all grounds keeping equipment and tools. Maintains the purchasing of parts, recordkeeping and trains equipment operators.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Promotes, works and acts in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.
  2. Maintains and inspects the mowing equipment to identify repair and maintenance needs. Reports issues to the Superintendent.
  3. Performs maintenance procedures and completes identified repairs necessary for proper operation of the mowing equipment, club cars, small tractors and loaders.
  4. Establishes and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all golf equipment, golf cart fleet, and any club vehicles.
  5. Operates small engine equipment, golf carts, small tractors and loaders.
  6. Trains operators on the proper use of the equipment in a safe manner.
  7. Purchases parts necessary for the maintenance of grounds keeping equipment and golf carts.
  8. Maintains the records associated with the maintenance and repair of the equipment.
  9. Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  10. Possesses and understanding of the importance of safety and sees that safe operation procedures are observed in all daily activities. Adheres to the safety program.
  11. Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  12. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
  13. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
  14. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.


Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses.
  2. Skill in the use of variety of equipment repair tools, and the making of various types of mechanical repair.
  3. Working knowledge of the theory, care and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment.
  4. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions while repairing equipment.
  5. Ability to diagnose mechanical troubles and determine appropriate maintenance work.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain records.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Associates degree in related field preferred.
  3. 2 years of previous experience in small engine repair or lawn and garden equipment preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0-25%
  • Standing and walking 25-50%
  • Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 0-50%
  • Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing and Driving 50-100%
  • Lift in excess of 50 pounds 0-25%
