Job description

Treviso Bay, located in Naples, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Communications Manager! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.  
 
Position Summary:
The Communications Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and executing all communications for both the Treviso Bay Master Association and the Treviso Bay Golf Association. This position serves as the primary communications resource for the two Associations, ensuring homeowners, golf members, residents, and guests receive timely, accurate, and professional information.
 
Working closely with the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, the Boards of Directors, committee members, department heads, and Troon leadership, the Communications Manager develops communication strategies that promote transparency, strengthen member engagement, and support the operational and strategic goals of both Associations.
 
This position is responsible for managing communications related to Association operations, Board initiatives, capital improvement projects, community events, emergency notifications, and member services while maintaining a consistent brand and message across all communication platforms.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
Communication & Member Engagement:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan for both Associations.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and special communications.
  • Draft emails, newsletters, announcements, project updates, and emergency notifications.
  • Coordinate communication timelines for major projects, Board initiatives, and community events.
Board & Committee Support:
  • Attend Master Association and Golf Association Board meetings, committee meetings, workshops, town halls, and special meetings as requested.
  • Prepare Board presentations, agendas, informational packets, and communication materials.
  • Draft post-meeting communications summarizing Board actions.
  • Coordinate communications related to Board-approved initiatives, policy changes, and capital projects.
  • Assist the General Manager with presentations, annual meetings, and member education sessions.
Association Communications:
  • Coordinate communications separately for the Master Association and Golf Association while maintaining consistency in branding and messaging.
  • Understand the governance structure and operational differences between both Associations.
  • Ensure communications are directed to the appropriate audience.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding Board discussions and sensitive Association matters.
  • Work with legal counsel and management when preparing governance or policy communications.
Digital Media Management:
  • Manage the Association website, member portal, Facebook, digital signage, and approved communication platforms.
Content Creation:
  • Create articles, newsletters, brochures, flyers, presentations, photography, and video content promoting the community, events, and capital projects.
Project Communications:
  • Develop communication plans for renovations, capital improvements, and community initiatives.
  • Prepare FAQs, timelines, presentation materials, and progress updates.
Event Promotion:
  • Promote community events, dining, tournaments, and social activities.
  • Work with department managers to maximize participation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of communications experience, preferably in a private club, golf club, luxury community, HOA, or resort.
  • Experience working with Boards of Directors and volunteer committees strongly preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, organization, and project management skills.
Technical Skills:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Website content management systems
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Social media management
Reporting Relationship:
  • Reports directly to the General Manager/Chief Operating Officer and works closely with both Boards of Directors, department heads, committees, consultants, and Troon leadership.
Work Schedule:
  • Full-time position.
  • Evening and occasional weekend attendance is required for Board meetings, committee meetings, annual meetings, member events, and special community functions.
