Located in the heart of Napa Valley, Silverado Resort is a premier, year-round golf destination featuring 36 holes of championship golf (North and South Courses). The resort is home to a vibrant, engaged membership and welcomes guests from around the world seeking a luxury golf experience.
Silverado hosts a dynamic calendar of golf programming, including men's and women's club events, member tournaments, junior golf initiatives, and large-scale resort outings. The property is also proud of hosting PGA Tour events, showcasing the North Course on a national stage and reinforcing Silverado's reputation as one of the premier golf destinations in California.
The Assistant Golf Professional will play a key role in supporting the Golf Operations team in the day-to-day management of the golf operation. This includes oversight of golf shop operations, tournament execution, staff leadership, and delivering a seamless experience rooted in Silverado's Four Keys of Service: Warmth, Personalization, Awareness, and Proactivity.
Pay: $22-$25 per hour BOE
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of golf tournaments and special events, including tournament setup, scoring, and administration using Golf Genius software.
- Organize, run, and actively participate in weekly member games to promote engagement, camaraderie, and enjoyment of the game.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with members and their guests by providing a high level of service and personalized engagement.
- Provide individual and group golf instruction to players of varying skill levels, including programs for ladies and seniors.
- Collaborate effectively with the golf operations team, course maintenance staff, and management to ensure smooth daily operations and an exceptional golfing experience.
- Oversee daily golf shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining a professional retail environment.
- Support and promote ladies' and men's leagues, events, and programming to encourage participation and member engagement.
- Ensure the golf course and practice facilities are presented in excellent condition throughout the day.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members and guests.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- PGA Associate, or PGA Class A member.
- Knowledge of Rules of Golf, Tournament Operations (Golf Genius platform), Player Development, Golf Car Fleet Management, and Golf Club rental programs.
- Proficiency in IT and relevant software applications, including Microsoft Office and computerized POS systems, with a willingness to learn resort platforms.
