Family owned and operated for over 80 years, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are recruiting a Director of National Account Sales at Pictsweet's corporate office in Bells, TN.  This position manages the Pictsweet Farms Branded Frozen Vegetables business in assigned customer territory by planning and executing product assortment and merchandising programs, supporting administrative and financial reconciliation duties, and guiding involved Food Broker organizations to achieve maximum sales, profitability, and market share in accordance with projected sales goals and financial guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with all customers and related brokers.
  • Make professional customer presentations to all customers on a regular basis to establish a personal relationship with customers beyond typical broker interaction.
  • Evaluate trade marketing spending in assigned territories and develop effective and efficient trade marketing plans.
  • Proactively guide Pictsweet's Category Management and Marketing teams in the development of market analytics and effective sales support materials.
  • Work closely with Pictsweet Revenue Management and National Accounts Analyst associates for accurate volume forecasting and effective account administrative functions.
  • Monitor retail store conditions to assure effective implementation of company marketing and sales plans.
  • Monitor the progress made in each market in the following areas: Distribution, Promotional Effectiveness, Retail Positioning in freezer, and Retail Pricing.
  • Select and maintain competent broker representatives in Non-Direct marketing areas. Train and motivate broker personnel in carrying out sales and marketing objectives in accordance with The Pictsweet Company's policies and procedures.
  • Regularly analyze and appraise the effectiveness of related brokers to assure that sales goals are achieved, and recommend corrective action when necessary.
  • Keep related brokers informed of market conditions, competitive activity, changes in company products, pricing and marketing activities.
  • Entertain customers - i.e. dinner functions, golf, sports and social events, etc. when approved and beneficial to achieving company goals.
  • Comply with all administrative requirements in a timely and accurate manner and perform all other duties appropriate to the position.
  • Maintain a solid flow of communication to the Vice President, Branded Sales to ensure that the corporate office is aware of conditions and issues in the field.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years Sales experience required
  • Direct-sales and/or Food Broker Account Management experience required
  • Sales Team Supervision/Management experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent mathematical and communication skills required.
  • Advanced category and consumer data analytical skills required
  • Proficiency in WalMart data systems (Retail Link, Luminate, Scintilla, etc.) and Kroger data systems (84.51, Stratum, etc.)
