OVERVIEW: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Golf Course Maintenance Spray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the application of pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals necessary to maintain the health and aesthetics of the golf course turf and landscape. This role requires a strong understanding of agronomy, chemical safety, and environmental sustainability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of chemical applications, including type, quantity, and date of application, in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Provide documentation for pesticide usage as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and regulations when handling and applying chemicals.
    • Participate in safety training sessions and ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) is used properly.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and maintenance team to develop and implement integrated pest management strategies.
    • Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed, including mowing, aeration, and turf renovation.
  • Environmental Stewardship:
    • Promote and practice environmentally responsible methods in all aspects of maintenance, including water management and chemical usage.
    • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in turf management and pest control.

Requirements
Experience:
Previous experience in golf turf management or landscape maintenance preferred; experience as a spray technician is a bonus.
Certifications:
Valid state pesticide applicator's license
Certifications in related fields is advantageous.
