Job description

APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Open until Filled 

The purpose of this position is to assist in maintaining small equipment at golf facilities. 
DUTIES: Ideal candidate will have 1-2 years experience with small engines or auto repair, but we are willing to train. Candidates will also need to (on occasion) operate riding and push lawn mowers, weedeaters and trims grass at CrossWinds, Paul Walker, & Riverview Golf Courses; Applicant will assist in general maintenance of the course as time allows. Applicant will work closely with Head mechanic and Golf Maintenance Supervisor. Our fleet of equipment is made primarily of Toro, John Deere, Cushman, Club Car, Yamaha, Kubota and Stihl. We also have Bernhard grinders.
REQUIREMENTS:  High School diploma, GED, or vocational school, with one year of grounds keeping experience (or related) preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Ability to become proficient in grinding and setting up reels. Knowledge of general golf course equipment. Knowledge on diagnosing and repair of electrical & hydraulic systems
Knowledge on 2 cycle equipment. Knowledge of routine maintenance and scheduling. Ability to work autonomously and maintain a clean workspace
General knowledge of proper operation of equipment; must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position.
SALARY: Pay Grade 40; $15.25/hr
WORK HOURS:  6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., weekend work will be required, will have some flexibility/discussed during interview
