Golf Maintenance Intern

Shady Canyon Golf Club - Irvine, CA

Performs tasks for the course maintenance department in order to gain experience and completion of educational credits. The main tasks will include the use of golf course preparation and routine maintenance including irrigation controls and small equipment operation.

  • Course set-up.
  • Performs chemical and fertilizer calibrations and applications.
  • Irrigation repair and maintenance.
  • Water management, including hand watering.
  • May operate smaller equipment as directed by supervisor.
  • Cleans equipment daily after use.
  • Supervises and assist in small projects and labor crews.
  • Employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the company as requested by the supervisor.

Enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year accredited turf university/program.

  • Previous golf course maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of maintenance landscape tools preferred.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
