Description

 This position is for a golf course irrigation technician job at Alta Vista Country Club. Prior golf course or landscape irrigation experience is a must. If you don't have any experience in irrigation you should not apply. This is not a beginners job. You will be in charge of all aspects of irrigation of the golf course. This includes irrigating turf, fixing irrigation issues, hand watering greens, running the central control irrigation system, and monitoring water usage. Ongoing raising of irrigation sprinkler heads to proper water distribution Pump Station systems knowledge and troubleshooting Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of irrigation technicians Maintain lake features i.e.: fountains and timers. Periodic chemical application Maintain and repair irrigation systems, including sprinklers, pipes, valves, and controllers Monitor water usage and adjust irrigation schedules as needed Supervise small crew on weekends, either Saturday or Sunday Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as plating, mulching, seeding, fertilizing and changing cups Install new irrigation systems and make modifications to existing systems Ensure compliance with local water regulations and conservation practices 

Requirements

 Previous experience in Landscape Maintenance, Golf Course Maintenance preferred Irrigation systems components and operation Knowledge and experience in  plumbing principles Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team effectively Familiarity with grounds keeping techniques and equipment Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients.
