Job description

Spanish Wells Golf & Country Club, located in Bonita Springs, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Golf Course Equipment Operator! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the care and maintenance of golf course.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  • Golf course maintenance experience preferred, but not required
  • Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
  • Working knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscaped area construction and maintenance work
  • Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
  • Ability to give oral and written instructions
  • Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
  • Must be dependable

Responsibilities:
  • Operates motorized vehicles
  • Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
  • Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
  • Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
  • Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
  • Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
  • Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
  • Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
