Hope Valley Country Club, located in Durham, North Carolina, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, was founded in 1926. Hope Valley is an elite private club featuring a classic Donald Ross designed golf course, state-of-the-art tennis facility, resort-style pool complex, and a spacious, welcoming clubhouse offering its members first-class recreation, dining, and programming. Hope Valley is ideally situated in the heart of one of Southeast's most vibrant, exciting areas.
Hope Valley is hiring for Tennis Court Maintenance. The Tennis Court Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the tennis courts, ensuring they are safe, clean, and in optimal condition for use. This role involves routine inspections, cleaning, minor repairs, and general maintenance tasks to preserve the quality and appearance of the tennis courts.
Primary responsibilities:
Court Maintenance
  • Perform regular inspections of the tennis courts to identify and address any issues
  • Clean and maintain the playing surface, including sweeping, pressure washing, and removing debris
  • Repair cracks, holes, and other damage to the court surface as needed
  • Ensure proper installation and maintenance of nets, posts, and court lines.

Equipment and Supplies
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
  • Order and replenish supplies as necessary
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.

General Upkeep
  • Keep surrounding areas, such as seating and walkways, clean and well-maintained.
  • Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Perform landscaping tasks around the courts, including trimming bushes and maintaining lawns.

Safety
  • Ensure the courts and surrounding areas are safe for players and visitors.

Event Preparation
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment for tennis events and tournaments.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of tennis court surfaces and maintenance techniques is a plus
