Season: October 2026 - May 2027
Starting Pay: $21.00/hour
Desert Mountain Club is home to seven signature golf courses, including six designed by Jack Nicklaus and a unique par-54 championship course, making it one of the most prestigious golf destinations in the country.

In this role, you will assist the Head Golf Professional with all activities relating to the management and execution of the Club's golf program with a focus on day-to-day operations both inside and outside the golf shop. This is a pro-active position responsible for upholding a positive and professional image while delivering a world-class service experience in all areas of the operation including: Golf Shop, Bag Drop, Cart Barn and Practice Facilities. The role is structured to provide the Associate Professional with experience in all facets of the workplace so as to promote future growth and development within the golf industry.
The ideal candidate will be professional with a strong desire to develop and build a career within the golf industry; A team player who is passionate about golf and delivering exceptional experiences. Prior experience in golf operations is required.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be enrolled in the PGA Associate program and actively working towards a Class A LPGA and/or PGA Certification.

JOB DETAILS
Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and enthusiastic customer service in all areas of the golf operation.
  • Assist members and guests with pre golf check-in, tee time reservations, special orders and the communication of information relating to Club activities; Ensure all needs are met.
  • Maintain familiarity with current happenings via Club communications and information shared by Golf Leadership.
  • Practice and promote name recognition.
  • Assist with Club tournaments and weekly event operations.
  • Greet members on the shop floor and utilize suggestive-selling techniques to maximize sale opportunities.
  • Accurately record all daily play on tee sheets.
  • Record daily sales via point-of-sale register.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory and obtaining budgeted sales goals.
  • Strategize to increase revenue and member satisfaction through category responsibility.
  • Perform opening and closing duties of the golf shop including the delivery of daily paperwork.
  • Ensure the staging of carts and practice facilities are set up and maintained in accordance with individual course requirements.
  • Monitor golf course pace of play.
  • Set up, maintain, and break down all practice facility areas in accordance with the daily schedule.
  • Prepare, operate, and maintain cart fleet per course. This includes club utility vehicles.
  • Valet cars (location dependent).
  • Attend mandatory golf meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
