Job Summary
In partnership with the Golf Club's Management, this position supports inside and outside golf operations including merchandising, tournaments, check-in, club-fitting, cart and club rentals, daily play, etc. The individual provides exceptional service to members and guests. This role assists with the coordination of golf events, ensures the smooth operation of the golf course, and delivers a high-quality golf experience.
Supervision
This position has no supervisory responsibility but may provide guidance and training.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities listed below are essential to the employee's position. Some responsibilities are seasonal in nature.

Operational responsibilities:
  • Customer Service Excellence: Acts a point of contact for guests and members, ensuring their needs are being met and resolving any issues that arise. Informs golf management of issues.
  • Tee Time and Inside Golf Support: Assists golf management with tee times, advanced bookings, instructional lessons, answering telephones, ring sale transactions in POS, etc. This includes:
  1. Answer telephones promptly and professionally while assisting with guest inquiries and tee time reservations.
  2. Reserve, modify, and manage tee times using the golf reservation system.
  3. Assist guests with golf-related questions, scheduling, and operational information.
  4. Ensure proper approval has been obtained for Employee Golf
  5. Respond to all direct and golf shop group emails during your shift
  • Event and Tournament Coordination: Assists in coordinating and facilitating golf events to create a positive guest experience.
  • Coordination with Hotel: May assist with coordinating tasks with local hotel.
    1. Reaching out for upcoming golf package guests to ensure accurate tee time reservations.
    2. Overseeing golf package resort rate cards and auditing the golf package billing, including gratuities.
  • Operation Coordination: Maintain operational checklists and reports and assist with scheduling.
  • Maintenance Feedback: While not directly responsible for course maintenance, coordinate with the Grounds Department to ensure the course is in optimal and safe condition for play.
  • Lost Equipment: Ensure that lost equipment is tracked and inventoried appropriately.

Safety & Incident Response
  • Remain attentive to retail activity within the Golf Shop and promptly report suspected shoplifting, theft, suspicious activity, or other security concerns to management according to company procedures.
  • May assist in completing accident and incident reports for golfers and visitors within the golf shop.
  • May be requested to contact emergency contacts.

Cross-Departmental Support
  • Support other departments with their duties when requested or assigned.

Other
  • Attend meetings and trainings, as scheduled.
  • Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Performs all other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience Required
High school / GED. Previous experience in golf operations (inside and outside services) required. PGA Associate or Member status preferred but not required. Prior teaching experience desired.
Skills and Abilities

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required because of driving golf carts: Valid State Driver's License
PGA Associate or Member status preferred but not required.

Ability to work schedule required to fulfill duties of position. At times, individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate. Must seek approval from supervisor before incurring overtime, Schedule flexibility which may include weekends and holidays.
Full-Time Position:
  • Busy Season: You are expected to be available to work up to or near 40 hours per week, including covering shifts and working overtime as needed.
  • Non-Peak Season: A minimum of 30 hours per workweek is required. You may be scheduled for additional hours if business needs require it.
  • You are expected to work the schedule assigned, which may include weekends and holidays, in alignment with business needs.
  • You are expected to be reliable and dependable, meeting attendance requirements including requesting time off in advance.
