Job description

Lexicon offers a unique combination of capabilities. Our services include construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services.

Position Summary

The Data Analyst administers and improves key business applications while delivering reliable reporting, end user training, and analyses. This role ensures secure access provisioning, accurate data synchronization between systems, and actionable insights that support operational and business goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer and support business applications, including configuration/module setup, user management, issue triage, and troubleshooting.
  • Own ERP/account access provisioning workflows (requests, approvals, role-based access, and periodic reviews) to ensure accurate, secure, and timely user access.
  • Monitor and validate data synchronization and integrations across systems; perform reconciliations, investigate exceptions, and coordinate fixes to maintain data integrity.
  • Analyze operational and business data using SQL and Excel (and other tools as applicable) to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Translate analysis into clear insights and recommendations, support strategic planning and operational decision-making with timely, accurate reporting.
  • Partner with departments to gather reporting/system requirements, clarify data definitions, and prioritize enhancements that reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
  • Provide end-user training and support for business applications and reporting; create and maintain user guides, SOPs, and quick-reference documentation.
  • Coordinate with external vendors/consultants for support escalations, implementations, upgrades, and issue resolution; track progress through closure.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve data management and systems workflows (e.g., standard intake, automation, and reduced rework) while maintaining appropriate controls.
  • Apply data governance and quality controls (i.e., access/security standards, data definitions, validation routines, and audit-ready documentation).
  • Stay current on best practices in analytics, reporting, integrations, and application administration; recommend improvements where beneficial.
  • Travel as needed to jobsites to support software implementations, train end users, and troubleshoot issues to restore service quickly.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Analytics or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in a data, reporting, systems, or application support role (internships, co-ops, and relevant project work count toward entry-level experience).
  • Proficiency with Excel (including pivots/lookups) and SQL for querying and analysis; experience with Power Query and a BI tool (Power BI preferred) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across various teams or independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or administering an ERP, CRM, or other enterprise application (user access, roles, configuration, troubleshooting).
  • Familiarity with data integrations (file feeds, APIs, ETL/ELT concepts) and reconciliation/exception handling.
  • Comfort documenting requirements, supporting UAT, and writing SOPs/knowledge articles for end users.
  • Basic scripting/automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Excel VBA) and/or ticketing systems experience.
