Job description

Overall Scope:

The Membership Consultant plays a crucial role in promoting and selling memberships to potential new members, as well as selling services to both new and existing gym members. This role involves generating sales through various outreach and promotional activities, maintaining accurate records, conducting gym tours, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures related to gym operations. The Membership Consultant is an integral part of our team, contributing to the growth and success of Gold’s Gym by actively engaging potential and current members and promoting a positive and welcoming environment.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales through both Company and employee-sponsored outreach and promotions.
  • Maintain accurate records utilizing established Gold's Gym sales systems.
  • Follow up on all prospects and conduct gym tours to showcase available services.
  • Conduct telephone inquiries to address inquiries and promote membership options.
  • Thoroughly understand, adhere to, and enforce Company policies and procedures relevant to gym operations.
  • Assume responsibility for developing effective selling skills.
  • Drive sales and maintain proper expectations for Service Upsell, with specific targets for Studio/On-Demand 30 Day Trial and Personal Training attachments.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing for participation in community events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Possess excellent sales, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Goal-oriented with the ability to achieve monthly sales targets.
  • Learn and effectively use the Gold’s Gym membership sales system.
  • Ability to stand or sit for up to 8 hours throughout the workday.
  • Adequate hearing to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone.
  • Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to any club within our DMV territory.
