Carolina Senior Marketing - Internship Position

Carolina Senior Marketing is looking for a Web Developer Intern this summer who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in real production environments.

This is a working internship, ideal for someone who already has foundational web skills and can pick things up quickly with minimal oversight. You'll be part of a small marketing team and will contribute directly to live websites used by real clients.

Responsibilities

Build simple WordPress websitesfrom provided design mockups (Figma or Adobe XD) Add and update pages on existing WordPress sites Make content and styling edits using Elementorand/or custom HTML/CSS Assist with website launches, including final checks and post-launch updates Troubleshoot website issues and bugs (performance, layout, plugin conflicts, etc.) Work on live client websites, making updates carefully and accurately Research plugins, tools, and solutions to improve site functionality and efficiency Assist with basic SEO optimizations(Yoast SEO, on-page best practices, site structure) Support website hosting tasks through WP Engineand GoDaddy Provide limited email support/troubleshootingthrough GoDaddy when needed Collaborate with the Multimedia Manager and VP of Marketing to prioritize tasks and deadlines Communicate clearly about progress, blockers, and questions

Requirements

Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS Experience working with WordPress(Elementor experience is a plus, but not required) Understanding of responsive web design, including how to ensure websites function and display properly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices Comfortable following design mockups and translating them into functional websites Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies or errors Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks with minimal supervision Clear written communication skills Willingness to learn independently and problem-solve when documentation or training is limited
