Goalkeeper Coach - Highline Premier FC

Highline Premier FC (HPFC) is seeking a passionate and experienced Goalkeeper Coach to lead the development of our club's goalkeepers. This role is integral to building confident, technically proficient players through position-specific training, mentorship, and seamless integration into team play.

The ideal candidate is a positive, player-centered coach who is passionate about goalkeeper development and thrives in a collaborative environment. They bring strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a commitment to long-term player growth, while creating a training environment that is both challenging and supportive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver developmentally appropriate goalkeeper training sessions aligned with HPFC's curriculum and performance standards
  • Provide technical instruction in shot-stopping, distribution, positioning, footwork, and communication
  • Collaborate with Head Coaches to integrate goalkeepers into team tactics and style of play
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and high-energy training environment
  • Deliver clear, consistent feedback to players and families to support ongoing development
  • Support player identification and evaluations during tryouts and assessment periods
  • Ensure compliance with club policies, safety protocols, and professional standards
  • Attend scheduled trainings and club events
  • Contribute to club culture through collaboration with coaching staff and the Directors of Coaching

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of coaching and/or playing experience as a goalkeeper (youth level preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor young athletes
  • Experience working with players in team or small group environments
  • Strong alignment with HPFC's mission, values, and professional standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of competitive goalkeeping experience (player and/or coach)
  • Experience delivering structured goalkeeper-specific training sessions
  • USSF Grassroots License or goalkeeper-specific certifications
  • Commitment to ongoing coaching education and development

Compensation

  • $50-75 per session depending on experience and qualifications
  • Opportunities for additional team assignment and seasonal programming

Physical Requirements

  • Must reside in Washington State and have reliable transportation
