Paratransit, Inc. is now accepting applications for a full-time Systems Performance Coordinator I!

The Systems Performance Coordinator I provides essential support to Paratransit’s scheduling and dispatch operations. This position helps ensure transportation services are planned efficiently, schedules are accurate, and passengers receive the transportation services they need.

The regular schedule for this position is Monday through Friday between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., with a one-hour meal period, for a total of 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

The Systems Performance Coordinator I works closely with the Director of Service Performance to help ensure transportation services and driver break events are scheduled efficiently and accurately.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Plan, organize, build, and modify transportation schedules.
  • Build one-time schedules for bus routes and transportation services.
  • Schedule staff to attend training meetings and other required activities.
  • Provide dispatch support on a relief and as-needed basis.
  • Receive, record, and relay passenger trip information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client, passenger, and address information.
  • Communicate with clients and partner organizations by phone and other communication methods.
  • Monitor schedules and make adjustments when changes or challenges arise.
  • Review work for accuracy and maintain quality control.
  • Provide administrative support related to scheduling and dispatch operations.
  • Work independently while meeting strict deadlines and service requirements.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Two years of experience in transportation dispatching, scheduling, reservations, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use computerized scheduling programs and methods.
  • Ability to type accurately at a rate necessary for successful job performance.
  • Ability to learn and effectively operate two-way radio and telephone communication equipment.
  • Ability to learn and apply designated communication methods, techniques, and codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret road maps, including online mapping systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to understand, relay, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find practical solutions when challenges arise.
  • Ability to prepare accurate reports and correspondence.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, including marijuana.

Salary & Benefits:


The starting salary is $21.50 per hour. This position includes a generous benefits package, including free Kaiser medical and Mutual of Omaha dental for employee, low cost benefits for dependents, vision, chiropractic and life insurance, voluntary benefits, medical and dependent day care FSA accounts and 401k plan with an employer contribution after two years of service. Medical and Dental benefits start the first of the months after 30 days of employment.
