Job description

AWS Global Education is seeking a Business Development Lead to work in partnership with education teams to develop go-to-market materials, content, and programs that position AWS as a leader in global education across K-12, higher education, research, EdTech, and skilling. This role is an integral part of the go-to-market team. Working with education team leads and regional sales teams, you develop the customer stories, positioning, decks, and field-ready content that help sellers engage education customers worldwide.

You own conference and event content strategy, determining where the education team shows up and what gets delivered. You develop go-to-market materials for workforce and skilling programs. You identify where content needs to reach regional sales teams and work with executive sponsors to ensure adoption.
The role requires someone who sees where the gaps are and fills them

You will write blogs, use social media platforms to extend the education story, develop partner content, create conference materials, and stand up new programs where customer demand exists but no playbook does. You will work across the education sales community to maintain alignment and visibility for the content and programs you build.
Key job responsibilities
Work in partnership with education team leads to develop go-to-market materials, customer stories, and positioning across every part of the business: K-12, higher education, research, EdTech, and skilling.
Own conference and event content strategy across both AWS events and external industry conferences. Determine where the education team shows up, develop the content delivered there, and coordinate with regional teams to ensure the right sellers and customers are engaged.
Identify where content needs to reach regional sales teams and work with local executive sponsors to ensure go-to-market materials are adopted and prioritized.
Create content for the education community: blogs, social media, partner materials, conference presentations, customer stories, and thought leadership assets.
Look ahead to spot emerging areas of impact in education and develop materials and strategies before demand becomes urgent

Bring new ideas forward and build the playbook when one does not yet exist.
Work across the education sales community to gather feedback, maintain alignment, and ensure visibility for programs and content.
About the team
The AWS Global Education team exists to help education and research institutions worldwide use cloud and AI to solve their hardest problems: making education more accessible, accelerating research discovery, preparing students for the workforce, and modernizing the technology that runs their institutions.
You will join the go-to-market team, a small group that works across every education segment. Your teammates focus on content, events, and programs. You will work closely with them and with regional sales teams, education specialists, and partner organizations across the globe

The team operates with a high degree of autonomy and values people who take initiative, move quickly, and bring ideas forward without waiting to be asked.
Our customers are universities, research labs, school systems, ministries of education, and education technology companies. You will build the materials and programs that help them understand what AWS makes possible for their institutions.
