Salary: 145-170k/yr. BUT is dependent upon the candidates skills, experience, certifications and education as it pertains to this specific position

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Full Stack Developer. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing leadership necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting design/development. The place of performance for this contract is in Washington, DC and is NOT remote.


Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and test a web-based application.

  • Edit site content for various components.

  • Maintain website standards and comply with predefined design guidelines.

  • Utilize best practices in web screen design and learn about different middleware platforms to source and update data through web screens as specified in functional requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Proficient in React.js and NodeJS.

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.

  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks.

  • Experience building and working with RESTful web services.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD, Jenkins, Gitlab-CI.

  • Knowledge of image authoring tools, ability to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.

  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.

  • Basic understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

  • Experience working with open source software.

  • Experience with TypeScript (Intermediate).

  • Experience with Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) (Intermediate).

  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) (Intermediate).

  • Experience with React.js (Advanced).

  • Experience with Node.js (Advanced).

  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Able to work independently.


PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Proficient in working with relational databases (Postgres and MySQL preferred).

  • Experience with AWS containerization.

  • Experience working with a content management system such as Drupal to create, manage, and theme content.

  • 508 compliance development.
