Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Quality Engineer within production drives the Faurecia QSE method and ensures product conformity in accordance with the control plan and the right application of the quality principles (QSE, respect of the ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949...). The primary responsibilities include:
• Approve and implement internal work instructions on the production lines and thus ensure that all necessary inspections are included, the necessary time is allocated in the standardized work sheets and that the related measuring equipment is available and meets requirements (e.g. R&R study, etc)
• Ensure the respect of the control plan and archive required quality records in accordance with the control plan (1st part ok, ...)
• Define and update the inspection instructions according to the control plan (e.g. final inspection instructions, ok 1st part instruction)
• Organize and perform gauge R&R studies. Perform measurements and data collection on engineering samples, record SPC data and coordinate line trail data collection.
• Assess new and existing manufacturing methods, including tooling, fixtures, layouts and equiment for potential quality/cost improvements. Supervisor pre-prodution and pre-launch activities.
• Conduct Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities. Compile the contents and assure compliance to customer requirements for all initial production part submissions.
• Interface with Customers using on-line quality monitoring systems (GM Supply Power/GZTS, Ford Covisint, Stellantis esupplier connect...) and respond in an effective and timely manner to ensure zero non-conformances.
• Visit customers and suppliers as necessary. Act as a liaison to internal and external customers
• Contact supppliers to put in place urgent actions to assure defect free parts for production. Assist in the evaluation and implementation of supplier corrective actions.
• Assure compliance of the documented quality system (IATF-16949) and promote consistency throughout orgnization relative to the Quality Management System

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Preferably a Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of production experience (preferably in automotive)
• 2-3 years in a quality role with strong knowledge of quality methods (APQP, PPAP, QRCI, problem-solving, 8 Quality Basics...)
• Strong sense of teamwork
• Strong communication skills
• Proven track record in upholding safety and quality standards
