All Coastal Health District County Health Department employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). When you are called on to participate, you are expected and it will be a part of your job requirement to participate, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
This is a part-time hourly position, not eligible for benefits.
Job Responsibilities
Under nursing supervision, will support monthly inventory counts, order state and private vaccines, and submitting required monthly reports. The hours for this position will require 1-2 days per week. Hours may vary depending on the day of the week (6, 8, or 10). The day of the week will vary based on the demand for inventory management and patient care. Hours may increase during peak vaccine events like back to school, school Flu, and Flu drives. The position will also support the vaccine program by administering vaccines.
Minimum Qualifications
Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college and current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR certification and completion of all necessary orientation and training for Public Health LPN.
