Job Description Summary
At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As a workforce engagement generalist, you'll be responsible for initiating, developing, and maintaining resources that serve and engage people towards service in Bible translation.
Your contributions will play a pivotal role in implementing successful plans that inspire, invite and grow the engagement of present and future staff in God's global mission.
Together with the senior director and workgroup members, you'll contribute to numerous print and digital strategies, using your communication, marketing, analytical, creative and strategic thinking skills in employer branding, internal communications and staff learning to advance Wycliffe's mission. You'll cultivate, nurture and strengthen relationships with other Wycliffe departments and GWS teams through effective day-to-day management of projects and resources. Additionally, you'll help ensure GWS content reflects our organizational/team ethos while remaining responsive to internal and external partners to attain greater missional effectiveness.
You'll partner with Global Workforce Services (GWS) leadership and other GWS team members to:
- Facilitate functions within the workgroup.
- Shepherd and steward GWS resources to further Wycliffe USA's strategic priorities, principles and objectives.
- Actively participate in GWS team engagements to optimize team culture, cohesion, performance and outcomes. Facilitate functions within the Innovation Workgroup.

Overview of Global Workforce Services (GWS)
Global Workforce Services (GWS) supports Wycliffe by attracting, retaining, resourcing and supporting a diverse workforce dedicated to advancing Bible translation. Together, we support the full lifecycle of staff, volunteers, interns and contractors - ensuring they are well-equipped, strategically placed and deeply connected to our mission. Our team cultivates a workplace that reflects biblical values, supports human flourishing and drives operational excellence across personnel and HR functions.
GWS focuses on workforce mobilization and placement, staff experiences and relations, benefits and resources that support staff engagements in the mission. Whether walking alongside staff and leaders, managing essential systems or launching innovative solutions, our shared goal is to foster a thriving, mission-aligned workforce that helps accelerate Bible translation around the world.
Responsibilities
You'll make an impact as you:
  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Live out the conviction that "work flows through relationship" by passionately "loving God and loving people" through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
  • Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities and tactical team/departmental initiatives.
  • Represent the GWS team in meetings, projects, workshops and partnership efforts, as assigned.
  • Help analyze and drive the continual improvement of internal and external GWS' communications and engagement resources, processes and service delivery systems.
  • Conceptualize, develop, implement and consult on recruitment and outreach strategies (campaign launching, campaign packaging, products and services, etc) for key mobilization initiatives, lead generation and internal employer branding.
  • Craft and test compelling messages and UX/UI journeys across marketing, communication and engagement channels.
  • Work with various teams (design, content, editorial, video, event, social media) to implement program and product marketing strategies.
  • Follow and analyze market trends to effectively position resources, opportunities, and offerings.
  • Manage the flow of internal communications, including intake, drafting, coordination and distribution across teams and leaders.
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate ideas and priorities into clear, actionable messaging and communication plans.
  • Collaborate in creating content and strategies for staff learning and engagement initiatives, including onboarding, training and development.
  • Provide direction and supervision to team members, including volunteers and interns, building capability, consistency and initiative over time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Workforce Innovation and CHRO.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree plus three years of experience in marketing or communications; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (including branding, UI/UX and content design).
  • Graphic design experience preferred.
  • Ministry experience preferred.

Compensation
The hiring pay range for this position is $57,910 - $66,597. The range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe's non-profit ministry environment. Actual pay rate may be higher based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and/or certifications, budget and allocation, if applicable.
