  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, shared services, and operations leadership.
  • Has set up an offshore shared service model for a large construction/engineering firm
  • Has set up finance and accounting functions offshore for a construction company
  • Very strong with change management
  • Demonstrated experience setting up and scaling shared services organizations in India, ideally in a global or multinational environment.
  • Strong background in construction, engineering, or project-based industries, including estimating and job cost accounting.
  • Proven ability to design self-service and process-driven operating models.

DAY TO DAY:

Our large national general contractor client is seeking an EVP - Global Shared Services โ€“ Finance & Estimating to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of an international shared services organization, with a primary focus on establishing and scaling finance, accounting, and estimating functions in India.

This is a newly created, highly visible leadership role responsible for building a selfโ€‘service, processโ€‘driven global delivery model that supports the companyโ€™s U.S. and international construction operations. The role will partner closely with executive leadership to define strategy, governance, operating models, and execution roadmaps.

  • Global Shared Services Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute the global shared services strategy for finance, accounting, and estimating functions.
  • Design a scalable, selfโ€‘service operating model supporting U.S. and international construction projects.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on global delivery, cost optimization, and organizational design.
  • India Center Setup & Expansion
  • Lead the endโ€‘toโ€‘end establishment of a shared services organization in India, including location strategy, hiring, vendor selection (if applicable), and operating model design.
  • Build and scale accounting, finance, and construction estimating capabilities in India.
  • Ensure alignment with U.S. construction standards, GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Standardize and optimize endโ€‘toโ€‘end finance and estimating processes (e.g., job cost accounting, project controls, budgeting, forecasting, estimating support).
  • Drive process documentation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement governance, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics across global teams.

  • Oversee shared services support for accounting close, project accounting, cost controls, and financial reporting.
  • Partner with corporate finance, operations, and estimating leadership to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
