Job description

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global's modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position:
Senior Engineer, Incoming Supplier Quality

Summary
The Senior Incoming Supplier Quality Engineer (ISQE) is responsible for the Quality oversight, immediate issue resolution, and preservation validation related to all incoming supplier equipment / product to specific VG LNG facilities (in transit, at a VGOS facility, LNG site warehouse / storage, during construction / commission, and operations and maintenance, etc.). This position will be responsible for developing and executing a risk / criticality based receiving inspection sampling plan, collaborating with VGOS (Venture Global Operational Support), site Quality, suppliers, supplier development engineers (SDE), design engineering to immediately address any issues found to minimize impact to Project or Operations execution, and champion preservation assurance mitigation and improvement activities.
This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, Supplier Quality and is a front-line quality leader safeguarding VG against critical construction and/or production disruptions / delays resulting from incoming supplier escapes (including incorrect / incomplete product documentation) and/or improper equipment / product storage and preservation.
The ISQE partners closely with previously advised stakeholders to support right first time received in quality product, immediate resolution for all incoming supplier escapes (product, paperwork, etc.), and ensuring supplied equipment / product will be ready for installation at respective sites.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop a risk / criticality based inspection sampling plan
  • Manage, coordinate inspection resources to perform daily physical checks and produce inspection reports in coordination with VGOS facility
  • Conduct routine field audits to validate received equipment / product are delivered with appropriate records (MTRs/MTC/shipping and storage dossiers/reports, etc.)
  • Ensure OS&D (overages, shortages, and damages) inspections are performed at appropriate intervals
  • Monitor and verify marking, labelling, storage conditions match the OEM storage requirements and specification
  • Evaluate current product preservation levels and develop improvement plan
  • Document all potential incoming supplier escapes (in transit through installation) on SCAR / NCR
  • Work directly with VGOS, procurement, site Quality, SDEs, supplier, engineering, etc. on immediate correction of any supplier escapes
  • Track and trend all incoming supplier escape trends including SCAR / NCR aging, COPQ such as repair, scrap, replace, return to vendor, schedule impact, etc.
  • Partner with SDEs to prioritize supplier engagement based on impact, recurrence and RCA/Corrective action follow ups
  • Champion and/or support Zero Defect Program (ZDP) projects to improve incoming supplier quality (escapes, COPQ, etc) and product preservation (supplier: SDE leads, VGOS/site storage: ISQE leads)
  • Report incoming supplier quality and preservation performance to leadership
  • Promote the VG Quality culture in all dealings with suppliers, contractors, etc.

Qualifications
Required experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality / procurement / inspection (source, receiving, in progress, final, etc.)
  • Experience with auditing, RCA (A3, 8D) and risk assessment methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of the Oil and Gas / LNG liquefaction business, industry codes, standards, regulatory bodies, industry standards (ie ISO, API Q2), etc.
  • Internal or lead auditor certified
  • ASQ CQE, Greenbelt, or Black Belt certification a plus
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing small teams of third-party inspection resources
  • Experience with Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Projects, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Technical understanding of industry-related disciplines (i.e. ASME, mechanical, electrical, rotating, static, structural, welding, coatings)
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Willingness to travel as needed to VG and supplier facilities
