Job description

The Global Risk & Compliance Organization ("GRC") independently oversee the company's risk-taking and risk management activities, including the comprehensive identification, management, and mitigation of risks within the Company's risk appetite. GRC ensures the company operates in a safe, sound and fully compliant manner within all applicable regulatory expectations. We create and maintain the overall risk management framework while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Enterprise Risk Manager to join the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team. This role will support the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise-wide risk frameworks, policies, and program capabilities across a broad range of risk types, including areas such as Reputation Risk and Risk Culture. The position will play a key role in driving consistency, scalability, and alignment with regulatory expectations and the Company's risk appetite, while contributing to a holistic view of risk across the enterprise. 

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in risk management, operational risk, compliance, or related areas, preferably within a large financial services organization. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills, along with an ability to work across risk domains. Familiarity with or interest in Reputation Risk and Risk Culture concepts-including non-financial risk drivers and emerging risk themes-is preferred.

The below represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Economic, Risk Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.   
  • 3-5 years of experience in risk management functions and domain knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies. 
  • Ability to work autonomously to affect change- flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities, managing competing demands to achieve effective results in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills, particularly in developing compelling presentations and structured governance material and articulating program framework.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues across teams and organizations.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to streamline research, drafting, and analytical workflows while -maintaining accuracy and judgment.    
  • Strong sense of integrity with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within financial services and/or second line risk functions
  • Experience with reputation risk management across 1st and 2nd line functions  
  • Previous experience in risk management, reporting, governance, internal control, and project management in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Exposure to enterprise risk frameworks (e.g., risk appetite, issue management, risk taxonomy)
  • Experience working with risk metrics development or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, ServiceNow)

Framework & Policy Development

  • Support the development and maintenance of enterprise risk management frameworks, policies, and standards across risk types 
  • Ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, internal governance standards, and enterprise risk objectives 
  • Contribute to periodic reviews to evolve frameworks in response to business, regulatory, and industry changes, including emerging risks impacting reputation and organizational culture

Risk Appetite, Metrics, & Calibration

  • Support the design and ongoing refinement of risk appetite metrics, thresholds, and key risk indicators
  • Assist in calibration exercises to promote consistency and comparability across risk types and business units
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure metrics are actionable, measurable, and embedded into decision-making
  • Contribute to the continued review and enhancement of metrics related to non-financial risks, including indicators tied to reputation and risk culture where applicable
     

Programmatic Execution

  • Support execution and continuous improvement of enterprise risk programs, including frameworks, tools, and processes 
  • Drive consistency across risk programs (e.g., issue management, risk identification, assessment methodologies) 
  • Contribute to cross-risk initiatives that enhance integration, efficiency, and transparency of risk management practices, including those related to reputation and risk culture considerations
  • Support the Team in responding to, mitigating, and assessing potential Reputational Risk and Risk Culture matters and incidents across the organization

Governance & Reporting
 

  • Develop governance materials, including committee reporting, and senior management updates 
  • Aggregate and synthesize risk information across risk types to support enterprise-level insights and decision making 
  • the evolution of enterprise-level risk reporting and dashboard creation

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across lines of defense and risk types to drive alignment and adoption of ERM practices
