Project Manager – Vanderlande Logistics (San Francisco, CA)

The Project Manager will lead complex, multimillion-dollar automation projects from concept through completion, ensuring successful delivery of material handling systems for our customers in the San Francisco region. This role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of project execution, including planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and site operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to best practices in project management across Vanderlande’s U.S. operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in material handling, automation, or construction environments.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and complex stakeholder relationships.
