The Specialist, HR Operational Excellence is responsible for delivering the successful design and development of global HR processes, policies, compliance and governance. This position will partner with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, and HR Operations to gather and analyze information, define and document business processes, and propose improvements needed to enable efficient operations. This role acts as a subject matter expert and accelerator to enable HR Process Owners to effectively own, govern, and continuously improve their processes; accountability for process outcomes remains with the designated Process Owners.

A Day in the Life
  • Develop and apply consistent standards, preferred practices and guidelines to support HR processes
  • Proactively engage and advise various stakeholders to gather and analyze information about critical HR business processes
  • Facilitate operational and process analysis, process design or reengineering, and continuous improvement, to deliver operational excellence
  • Deliver formally documented HR Operational Excellence process requirements, policies, and preferred practices
  • Review, organize and manage process documents
  • Maintain the knowledge management platform and post information intuitively
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure consistent application of the HR processes and determine the effectiveness of the process in place
  • Coordinate and integrate data analyses for opportunities and performance review
  • Develop and implement compliance processes
  • Work closely with Global Process Owners to develop the business case or value proposition to support improvement opportunities
  • Identify, document, and analyze business rules, regulations, guidance and policies that govern the implementation of business processes
  • Support HR initiatives at the global level through continuous evaluation, quality assurance and focused improvement efforts
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development to process owners and HR staff in consistent application of HR Operational Excellence

Area of Expertise

  • Knowledge of Operational Excellence, business processes, and regulatory requirements applicable to human resources
  • Ability to create and apply templates using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Teams, Visio, Celonis Process Management, and other tools as needed
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills across global audiences
  • Change management experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage own work to completion
  • Strong planning, facilitation, and problem-solving skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years of relevant experience implementing process improvements at scale
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and gain consensus
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, Visio, and SharePoint/Teams
  • SAP / SuccessFactors configuration and testing experience preferred
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as LEAN/6 sigma, in a business services context
