Job description

The Program Manager, Healthcare Professionals serves as Dairy MAX's dedicated relationship manager for healthcare professional (HCP) organizations, key opinion leaders, and next generation HCP programs across the region. This role builds and stewards strategic nutrition partnerships that extend Dairy MAX's credibility and influence within clinical, academic, and community health settingsโ€”positioning dairy as a trusted resource among the practitioners, students, and future clinicians who shape dietary recommendations. Working closely with the Program Manager, Nutrition Communications, this role ensures HCP and academic messaging is integrated, evidence-based, and scientifically aligned across all partner channels.

Roles and Responsibilities :
  • Manage nutrition partnerships with HCP key opinion leaders, influential amplifiers, and regional HCP organizations
  • Lead and grow food as medicine program partnerships and scaling to additional universities
  • Build and manage relationships with next generation HCP programs including medical schools, dietetic internships, and other academic pipelines that shape future practitioners' views on dairy nutrition
  • Identify, cultivate, and manage HCP key opinion leaders and organization leaders who can serve as credible advocates for dairy's role in human health
  • Monitor and support partnership programs, reviewing content for scientific accuracy and alignment with Dairy MAX's nutrition messaging standards
  • Ensure nutrition claims and messaging across all HCP and academic partner channels meet regulatory and scientific standards
  • Create educational opportunities through conferences, events, and sponsorships that strengthen Dairy MAX's visibility and credibility as a trusted nutrition resource
  • Collaborate with Program Manager, Nutrition Communications to integrate HCP and academic messaging across consumer, media, and stakeholder channels
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other organizational departments, lending nutrition expertise that is evidence-based and aligned with regulatory standards
  • Represents Dairy MAX within federation tasks forces and committees on health and wellness topics
Competencies, Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors:
  • Relationship Management: Skilled at building and sustaining trust-based partnerships with HCP organizations, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders over time
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Strong foundation in nutrition science with the ability to translate evidence-based research into credible, audience-specific messaging for clinical and academic audiences
  • Strategic Communication: Able to represent Dairy MAX's nutrition priorities clearly and compellingly in professional and academic settings, including conferences, events, and partner engagements
  • Regulatory Fluency: Knowledgeable about nutrition claims, labeling standards, and what can and cannot be communicated about dairy across partner and consumer channels
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experienced in working across teams and CoEs to align messaging, coordinate partner activities, and integrate HCP insights into broader organizational strategy
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to monitor emerging nutrition research, trends, and policy developments and translate implications for partner programming and messaging
  • Project Management: Able to manage multiple partnership programs simultaneously with strong organizational and executional skills
  • Public Engagement: Confident representing Dairy MAX at conferences, events, and professional organization settings

Bachelorโ€™s degree in Dietetics or related field - Required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in dietetics or in related fields - Required

Registered dietitian nutritionist - Required

Membership in and history of leadership within professional organizations, such as the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics- Preferred

Experience working within or alongside university, academic medical, or clinical settings - Preferred
