Job Description:
The Director, Finance, Global Operations is a pivotal senior finance leader who helps shape the future of a global manufacturing organization at Ormco. This role drives financial performance, strategic insight, and strong governance across Global operations, enabling sustainable and profitable growth for the business. Reporting to the CFO, the Director partners closely with executive leaders to translate strategy into results through disciplined financial planning, analysis, and capital investment. Leading and developing regional finance teams, this role champions EBS principles and fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
  • Act as primary finance partner to VP/GM of Global Operations
  • Lead financial strategy for NPI, capacity expansion, and cost transformation initiatives
  • Own P&L performance for manufacturing and supported operations, aligned to strategy and value creation
  • Apply EBS problem-solving to drive root-cause resolution and performance improvement

Financial Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
  • Lead the annual budget, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes across Global Operations
  • Drive monthly performance reviews, linking financial results to operational KPIs and EBS priorities
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities related to margin, cost, inventory, and working capital and recommend corrective actions
  • Provide fact-based insights through high-quality analytics, scenario modeling, and executive-level reporting

Manufacturing Finance & Operational Excellence
  • Lead finance support for manufacturing sites across Europe, North America, and Asia
  • Ensure standard costing, material cost control, inventory accuracy, and gross margin integrity
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering on Kaizens, cost productivity, and working capital improvement
  • Review and approve capex with strong ROI discipline and strategic alignment

Accounting, Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end close with strong internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards
  • Review monthly gross profit results and direct adjustments or corrective actions as needed
  • Partner with tax and corporate teams on transfer pricing, external reporting, audits, and governance requirements

Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global finance team
  • Build capability through coaching, development planning, and succession management
  • Reinforce EBS values, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Drive strong cross-functional partnership across Operations, Engineering, Commercial, and HR

Continuous Improvement & Special Projects
  • Champion EBS-driven continuous improvement and standard work
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, cost reduction, and benchmarking
  • Contribute to finance transformation across systems, processes, and operating model

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A, manufacturing finance, and business partnership
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading and developing professional finance teams
  • Strong cost accounting and manufacturing finance expertise
  • Demonstrated experience supporting P&L ownership and capital investment decisions
  • Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization
  • Strong leadership presence with high analytical rigor and executive-level communication skills
  • High integrity, accountability, and ability to lead in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Preferred
  • CPA, CGMA, and/or MBA
  • Experience supporting high-growth or innovation-driven business units
  • Advanced experience with ERP and consolidation systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion/HFM)
  • Knowledge of the Envista Business System (EBS) or a similar lean / continuous improvement operating model
  • Working knowledge of Spanish, Mandarin, and/or Czech

TRAVEL
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel, including visiting manufacturing sites

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct leadership responsibility for finance managers, cost accounting, FP&A, and transactional finance roles

This role primarily operates in an office environment with periodic travel to manufacturing sites. The role requires routine sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. Target Market Salary Range:
Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
