THE ROLE
Inbound Supervisor is responsible for all tasks involved with smooth daily operations of the Support Department primarily focused on Inventory Control, includes processing, verification and record keeping on all inventory at the Indianapolis Distribution Center as well as hiring & training of Support Team Members and their productivity. Primary focus will be inventory cycle count program and managing inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Supervise the activities of distribution staff engaged in support areas including inventory control, quality, problem resolution, and posting.

  • Interview, selection, and train warehouse and team lead personnel

  • Plan inventory operations, establishing priorities and sequences for accurately inventorying products

  • Coordinate cycle count program for inventory control teams ensuring cycle count goals are maintained.

  • Report on any inventory adjustments, inventory accuracy, or major variances related to inventory.

  • Ensure the team meets expectations of position based on our pillars of performance: Safety, Quality, Teamwork, Productivity.

  • Lead entire Support department occasionally to cover management

  • Confer with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • This position requires a person who is highly organized, self-motivated, and who can work independently.

  • Must have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

  • Will have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable with Internet and inventory control applications.

  • Ability to climb ladders.

  • Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs

  • Identifies key operational goals and opportunities to improve coaching of team members and increases efficiency.

  • Must inspire team members to success

  • Must learn safety protocols of the company and ensure team is following them.

Training Requirements
  • Proficient and highest level of knowledge on Legends Global Merchandise systems, policies & procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Minimum 4 years' industry experience required

  • College/University degree preferred

  • Personnel management experience required

  • WMS/TWL experience a plus

  • Valid driver's license
