Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Intelligence professional to join our team in an embedded Team Lead role supporting a global technology company. Working remotely (eligible states) from within the United States and reporting directly to the client's Security Manager, the successful candidate will lead a small team of embedded analysts responsible for delivering timely, actionable intelligence across the Americas and Europe. This role offers the opportunity to shape and mature an intelligence program while building trusted partnerships with stakeholders in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Â
The Team Lead will oversee intelligence collection, monitoring, analysis, and reporting efforts to identify emerging threats, incidents, risks, and trends that may impact the client's people, assets, operations, and reputation. In addition to producing high-quality intelligence assessments and briefings, the successful candidate will provide day-to-day leadership to the analyst team, establish intelligence priorities, support complex investigations, and drive continuous improvement across reporting, workflows, and program performance. The role requires strong analytical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable intelligence that supports operational and strategic decision-making.Â
This is a full-time remote position based in the United States, working standard business hours Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will work closely with client stakeholders and Sibylline support teams to ensure the continued delivery and growth of a high-performing intelligence program while supporting the development and success of the embedded analyst team.
Essential Functions / ResponsibilitiesÂ
Lead and mentor a small, embedded intelligence team, setting daily/weekly priorities, delegating tasks, and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery.Â
Partner with security stakeholders to define key intelligence requirements and maintain a clear tasking and escalation framework for routine reporting, RFIs, and incident-driven support.Â
Oversee all-source monitoring and analysis (including online and social signals as relevant) to identify emerging threats, security incidents, reputational risks, and trends; triage findings and escalate appropriately.Â
Produce and quality-assure concise, actionable intelligence products and verbal briefings designed to inform operational and leadership decision-making (rather than purely descriptive reporting).Â
Maintain and continuously improve SOPs, definitions, and analyst workflows for monitoring, incident response support, and reporting; identify gaps and redundancies and propose improvements.Â
Support program maturity through metrics and review cadences (e.g., quarterly KPI reviews / business reviews), capturing stakeholder feedback and translating it into service improvements.Â
Manage people operations for the embedded team: onboarding, coaching, development planning, performance management, and coordination of coverage/shift scheduling where required with Sibylline HR for support.Â
Personally contribute to complex intelligence assessments, priority investigations, and high-visibility stakeholder requests as required.Â
Coordinate with Sibylline support functions (Embed Operations, Global Intelligence, Technology, and Training specialists) to ensure embeds have access to expertise, training, tooling support, and escalation pathways.Â
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesÂ
Experience leading or supporting intelligence programs focused on activism-related threats, event security, geopolitical risk, and operational security in complex urban environments preferred. Â
Demonstrated ability to translate complex threat and risk information into concise, actionable intelligence for security and executive stakeholders.Â
Strong all-source research, OSINT collection, and analytical tradecraft, including rapid triage and escalation in time-sensitive situations.Â
Experience monitoring and assessing threats and crisis communications that can impact private sector people, facilities/assets, operations, and reputation (including online community/social signals as relevant).Â
Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships in a matrixed environment and manage competing priorities with sound judgment.Â
Proven quality assurance skills (peer review/editing) and high attention to detail; produces work that requires minimal rework.Â
Highly skilled at designing and improving SOPs, workflows, and simple performance metrics; able to incorporate feedback into continuous improvement.Â
Proven people leadership skills including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and building cohesive teams.Â
Ability to work in a fast-paced technology environment and collaborate across functions in a matrixed organization.Â
Experience leveraging intelligence, monitoring, and productivity technologies to support program delivery and continuous improvement, including familiarity with commercial threat monitoring platforms (e.g., Dataminr), AI-assisted analytical tools (e.g., Google Gemini), and enterprise collaboration environments such as Google Workspace preferred.Â
Excellent written and verbal English communication and briefing skills.Â
Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, Journalism, or a relevant field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent professional experience. Master's degree, preferred.Â
5+ years of relevant experience in corporate intelligence, security intelligence, geopolitical risk, or adjacent roles supporting operational security decision-making.Â
3+ years of team leadership/management experience (formal or acting lead), including coaching and quality assurance.Â
