Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Import/Export Administrator at MKS | Atotech, you will partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Service, and Internal Operations teams to coordinate and execute global import and export activities while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. In this role, you will report to the Supply Chain Supervisor.
You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Prepare and review import/export documentation including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations including customs laws and trade agreements

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers to arrange transportation and track shipments

  • Maintain accurate records of all import/export transactions for audit and reporting purposes

  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and stock availability

  • Classify goods using appropriate tariff codes and calculate duties and tariffs

  • Resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs hold, or documentation discrepancies


Skills You Bring:

  • Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of related experience

  • Familiarity with customs procedures, Incoterms, and international shipping documentation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and import/export software systems, SAP highly preferred

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role with some work in warehouse or shipping dock visits

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and cross-departmental coordination

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
