Job description

GBGM:

The General Board of Global Ministries is the worldwide mission, relief, and development agency of The United Methodist Church, working with partners and churches in more than 115 countries to equip and transform people and places for God’s mission. Global Ministries connects the church in mission through the sending of missionaries, evangelism and church revitalization, disaster response and recovery led by the United Methodist Committee on Relief, and global health.

About the Role:

This position provides administrative support for the Global Health Team by supporting multiple Program Managers with their grant management and additional portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for supporting the management team with the grant application process and tracking of grants, programs, and events through proactive collaboration with grantees, internal/external stakeholders, partners, and the Global Health Team.
  • Supports grant applications and report reviews by assisting with (1) proforma reviews (2) the monitoring process (checking targets and actual data) and (3) Responsible for entering information into Salesforce for grant applications and reporting tasks (4) conducting background research as requested.
  • Drafts grant agreements and other necessary documents, sends grant award letters, and processes grant disbursements to partners as requested by managers, following the procedure for approvals and communication with grantees.
  • Organizes and maintains up-to-date, accurate electronic records for the assigned program in SharePoint and GTT (or other filing system) in a timely manner.
  • Other administrative tasks as requested
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience of 4-6 years
  • Minimum two (2) years’ administrative support experience, preferably supporting more than one manager simultaneously. Strong multi-tasker, paying attention to details and prioritizing the workload that comes from multiple people.
  • Able to perform efficiently, professionally, and amicably under stress and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Location: Remote, U.S.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours weekly (Monday - Friday; flexible start/end time between 07:00 - 19:00)
  • Schedule: Requires work outside standard business hours and on weekends. Additionally, the person will be working with colleagues across multiple time zones, requiring flexibility. Work style: Extended periods of computer/virtual meeting work
  • Department: Global Health
  • Hourly Pay Range: $22.73 to $28.41
  • Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
