Overview

SUMMER 2027

Shure offers a challenging, fun, and rewarding summer internship program. The twelve-week program is offered to undergraduate and graduate students. We offer internships with a variety of work arrangements from onsite interns to fully remote in US. Each intern will receive a competitive salary. Additionally, Interns who are asked to relocate to Illinois for onsite internships will receive a housing stipend to cover living expenses. Applications will be collected, reviewed, and selected candidates will be contacted in late fall/early winter.

The GPM Product Data, Life Cycle Management and Portfolio Operations Intern will support Global Product Management initiatives focused on portfolio analysis, dashboard development, sustainability-related portfolio projects, and process documentation. This role offers hands-on exposure to product lifecycle management, data governance, portfolio optimization, and cross-functional decision-making across Shure's global product portfolio.

The intern will work with Product Management, Operations, Engineering, Global Compliance, and Product Data teams to help evaluate product performance, assess portfolio impacts, and support tools and processes that enable data-driven business decisions. This is a strong opportunity for a student who enjoys working with data, solving problems, collaborating across teams, and learning how product decisions are made in a global technology company.

This internship will be Hybrid, based in Niles, IL.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Operations, Global Compliance, Engineering, and Product Data teams to support portfolio impact assessments and identify opportunities to improve portfolio efficiency.
  • Assist with product performance and market acceptance analysis to support lifecycle management, sustainability initiatives, and portfolio optimization decisions.
  • Support analysis and dashboard creation related to PFAS material elimination and other sustainability-driven product portfolio changes.
  • Collaborate with the Product Domain Data Governance team to help define, document, and communicate data source, process, and technology requirements for the product domain.
  • Translate data and analysis into concise insights that support decision-making by Product Management and related business teams.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Product Management, Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field
  • Coursework, project experience, or demonstrated interest in data analysis, product management, business performance, technology, or audio products.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or other dashboarding, reporting, or data visualization tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with cost/benefit analysis, market analysis, or business case development preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data from multiple sources.
  • Ability to organize information, identify patterns, and communicate findings clearly.
  • Curiosity about products, technology, business performance, and how data supports product and portfolio decisions.
  • Basic knowledge of audio, technology, or music-related products preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

Modeled by extensive market analysis and economic best practices, Shure offers competitive intern compensation that is reviewed and adjusted annually by our Total Rewards Team to attract, hire, and retain the industry's top intern talent. Each internship has an hourly rate which varies from $23-$43 per hour based on job function (Engineering, IT, Business, etc) and year completed in school (Junior, Masters 2nd year, PHD, etc).
