Job description

Global Ambassadors (GAs) are students excited about global education and want to share that enthusiasm with their peers. Global Ambassadors will represent the Center for Global Education (CGE) by engaging with Flagler College's campus community and informing students about global programs and partnerships.

Student worker positions provide valuable on-campus employment opportunities that support departments while helping students develop professional skills. These roles are intended to enhance the student experience through meaningful work aligned with academic and career interests.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Enrolled as a current Flagler College Student
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Characteristics Preferred: 
  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Willing to speak in front of large groups
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with study aboard or travel
  • Proficiency in more than 1 language
  • Familiarity with Canva or other graphic design software
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds and move event materials across campus
  • Must be comfortable working at a computer for extended periods
  • Primarily indoors in a standard office environment
    • Inform students of the basics of study abroad including available programs (semester, year, and summer). application deadlines and procedures, online application, policies, etc.
    • Represents the CGE at Study Abroad Fairs, International Education Week, recruitment events, the coordination of campus internationalization events, pre-departure orientation sessions, and special projects (as assigned)
    • Respond to student inquiries about CGE programming
    • Promote CGE programming to campus community
    • Maintain the CGE Social Media content and Student Blog accounts
    • Create advertisements for digital display
    • Mentor a group of incoming exchange and first year international students
    • Maintain office organization and cleanliness
