Job description

Kitchen Worker
SUMMARY: Responsible for washing dishes, cutlery, pots and other cooking utensils. Ensures that dishes, silver, glassware and other utensils and accessories are delivered to the appropriate area.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Loads/unloads and operates dishwashing and silver burnishing equipment.
  2. Washes pot, pans and other utensils.
  3. Carefully handles and loads china and glassware according to correct procedures to minimize breakage.
  4. Transports dishes, silver, glassware and other utensils and accessories.
  5. Keeps immediate work area clean and sanitized.
  6. Cleans floors, walls, ceilings and equipment in all food preparation areas as assigned.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  1. Ability to follow instructions
  2. Demonstrated ability to follow all health code regulations pertaining to job duties.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to withstand frequent changes in temperature environment and be able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Must be able to maneuver inside kitchen area, sometimes in heat of 130 degrees. Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Must be able to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds. Work requires the ability to work in any assigned kitchen or station.
