Job description

We are seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team! The Bartender is essential to our dining experience, providing high-quality beverage service that enhances guest satisfaction. This role requires expertise in drink preparation, inventory management, and excellent customer interaction skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere at the bar. 
Responsibilities:
  
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds guests' expectations, proactively anticipating their needs.
  • Welcome guests with a genuine and warm smile, creating a friendly atmosphere.
  • Address guest concerns with empathy and efficiency, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Manage bar inventory, maintaining security over stock and accurately reconciling the bar cash drawer.
  • Perform meticulous cleaning and sanitizing of glassware and other bar equipment.
  • Recognize signs of intoxication in guests, responsibly manage service, and consult management as necessary.
  • Record all orders precisely, handle transactions, and ensure all sales are accounted for according to restaurant policies.
  • Answer guest questions about the menu and current promotions knowledgeably, applying effective sales techniques.
  • Adhere to all service protocols, including special dietary needs and food allergy precautions.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment, including POS and payment systems, are used proficiently.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, complete required training, and maintain compliance with restaurant policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Foster a cooperative team environment and perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications: 
 
  • Proven experience in beverage preparation according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ability to stock and maintain sufficient levels of bar supplies, including alcohol, glassware, ice, and other necessary items.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Skilled in managing a full bar top and handling orders from the cocktail station and dining area efficiently.
  • Comfort with regular exposure to liquids and use of cleaning agents, demonstrating safe handling practices.
  • Competence in operating bar equipment such as knives and blenders safely.
  • Effective communication skills to understand and execute job requirements.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a high-pressure environment.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces with fluctuating noise and temperature levels.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking during the entire shift, navigating through potential hazards in the restaurant.
