MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN

Stewart Glass is at the forefront of solar glass manufacturing in the United States, delivering high-performance glass solutions for a sustainable future. As a subsidiary of Stewart Engineers, we build on a legacy of expertise in float and coated glass technology. We are committed to innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a commercial or industrial setting. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. The Maintenance Electrician will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand system layouts.
  • Install, maintain, and repair high voltage and low voltage electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all work performed.
  • Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure optimal operation of all equipment.
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs performed.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician is required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
  • Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety standards is essential.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately.
  • Experience with power tools and general maintenance practices is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

Job Type: Full-time, hourly (eligible for overtime) 

Work Location: In person @ Stewart Glass

Schedule: All positions at Stewart Glass are day shifts for pre-production. Schedule subject to change, see below, with production hour commencing. 

Pre-production Schedule:

All Days: 8am-5pm; M-F 

Production Schedule: 

Night Shift 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (shift differential for nights)

Day Shift 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM 

All Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off

Each employee gets roughly 104 OT hours paid at 1.5x base rate per year with 4 on 4 off schedule. 


Currency: United States Dollar (USD)

Pay Type: Hourly

Salary Range: $32 - 38 USD
