Job description

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, plan, and execute all Fabrication operations.
  • Develop, track, and maintain Fabrication performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Ensure the safety of all assigned employees through proper training and strict adherence to federal, state, and company safety regulations
  • Maintain the highest housekeeping standards throughout the Fabrication area.
  • Ensure product quality meets or exceeds all internal and external customer specifications.
  • Ensure all production employees are trained in workforce standardization processes and fully understand job expectations.
  • Ensure all production standards and targets for throughput, downtime, yield and scrap reduction meet or exceed budgeted levels.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels to ensure matters of mutual concern are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide appropriate guidance, counseling, or recognition on matters related to job performance and absenteeism.
  • Maintain constructive and candid relationships by addressing issues in a timely manner.
  • Direct and coordinate problem solving activities utilizing the Pilkington 8 step problem solving model.
  • Promote awareness and compliance with facility environmental guidelines.
  • Monitor glass flow, finished goods demand, and shipment accuracy between Shelbyville and contractor sites, escalating risks or shortages as needed.
  • Hold contractors accountable for adherence to quality, safety, and Fabrication process standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

 Directly manages a team of 3 salaried team members
