Job description

Job Summary:
BDO USA is a leading accounting and advisory firm that provides assurance, tax, and advisory services. They are seeking a Microsoft Low Code/AI Technical Architect who will be responsible for advanced technical design and development of Microsoft Low Code/AI solutions while leading a team and consulting with multiple clients.
Responsibilities:
• Produces and reviews software and database designs that meet both business and technical requirements
• Gains a robust understanding of client needs and plays an integral part in defining and proposing practical solutions to meet or exceed client expectations
• Plays an instrumental role in defining the software and database architecture for new solutions
• Leads client requirements gathering sessions and accurately documents business requirements
• Develops application code and reusable components
• Software deployments and ongoing software support
• Builds predictive models that are accurate and robust and that help our customers to utilize the core platform to the maximum extent
• Leads a team of developers within projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
• Responsible for the quality of all technical deliverables on a project.
• Oversees time reporting accuracy and the technical management of projects
• Performs code reviews and ensures adherence to standards
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree and six (6) or more years of application development experience, required; OR High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) or more years of application development experience, required
• Three (3) or more years of technically leading teams or development projects, required
• One (1) or more years of professional experience developing with Copilot Studio (Formerly Power Virtual Agents), required
• Three (3) or more years of development experience with one (1) or more of the following, required: Power Apps (Canvas, Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse
• Two (2) or more years of hands-on experience with implementation of Agentic AI solutions or bots, required
• Development Experience with two (2) or more of the following, required: Agile Software Development Experience, Experience using source control (Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar), Front-end Development (AngularJS, React, TypeScript, .NET MVC, or similar), Web Design (HTML, CSS, SASS), Database Server Experience (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or similar), SQL Development Experience (Queries, Functions, Stored Procedures), NoSQL Experience (Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar), SharePoint List Configuration, Power Platform AI Builder, Power Platform Custom Connectors
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, preferred
• Five (5) or more years producing technical designs (artifacts), preferred
• Experience with Azure DevOps Boards or Jira, preferred
• Experience within a consultative environment, preferred
• Experience with one (1) or more of the following, preferred: Professional experience coding with Microsoft Development Platform, Hands-on experience with any of the following: Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, AI Search, Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, Agile Software Development Experience, Experience using source control (Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar), Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS), CI/CD Pipeline experience (i.e., GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Gitlab Runners, etc.)
