Job description

Title: GIS Coordination Support Specialist Job ID: 26-02526 Location: Raleigh, NC Duration: 04 months of contract
Seeking a GIS Support Specialist to assist the GIS Coordination Program Manager with GICC initiatives, administrative coordination, GIS data management, and online mapping solutions. The role is primarily remote with onsite work required once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support GIS coordination activities, committees, and working groups
  • Create and maintain geospatial datasets and online GIS content
  • Develop reports, maps, documentation, websites, and dashboards
  • Perform GIS data analysis, automation, quality checks, and scripting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend GIS solutions

Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience with ArcGIS Desktop, ArcMap, and ArcGIS Pro
  • Strong GIS data editing and maintenance experience
  • Expertise in GIS mapping, visualization, and cartography
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online, StoryMaps, Survey123, and Experience Builder
  • Experience working in SDE multi-user environments

Preferred:
  • Knowledge of geospatial workflows and NC OneMap
  • Strong written and communication skills
